Joshua Rothman is a nationally recognized executive recruiter and talent advisor with over 20 years of experience in recruiting and human resources. Known for his relationship-driven approach, he has helped hundreds of organizations secure top talent while guiding professionals toward meaningful career opportunities.
Josh has built one of the most active networks in the accounting and finance community, with more than 28,000 LinkedIn connections spanning CPA firms, family offices, law firms, and private companies across the United States.
He began his career as Managing Partner and Director of Human Resources at a mid-tier CPA firm in Sherman Oaks, California, where he developed the relationship-first philosophy that continues to define his work. He later founded JD Cooper Inc., an executive staffing and HR consulting firm specializing in public accounting and legal recruitment, which grew into one of the largest boutique recruiting agencies in the Western U.S.
Josh later merged JD Cooper with Cross Country Recruiting to expand capabilities while maintaining a personalized client approach. Today, he serves as President of Count On Us Recruiting (formerly Forth Recruiting), where he leads a nationwide practice placing professionals across public accounting and finance roles—from senior associates to partners.
